OUR TEAM

The Persepolis advantage comes from its local, on the ground team, that takes a hands-on approach to asset and property management. The Persepolis team is made up of a group of senior professionals with deep expertize in Spanish real estate, financial structuring, sub-market dynamics, and all facets of the real estate cycle. Our team has access to local financing opportunities and a pipeline of undervalued, transformable, urban properties, sourced through a vast local network of brokers and advisors.

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Coming from the United States, Mitra came to Spain in 2014 to start Persepolis Investments. Mitra has 15+ years of experience in investments and real estate. Coming from a Wall Street background, she has worked as a Portfolio Manager in hedge funds such as Laurion Capital and Autonomy Capital. She has a Master’s Degree in Computer Science & Management from Stanford University.

Mitra Ghamsari

Investment Director

Diego has over 5 years of experience in real estate investments across the retail, hospitality, residential, and industrial sectors. He previously worked as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group and as an investment banker at Evercore. He holds a Civil Engineering degree from Universidad Iberoamericana and an MBA from IESE Business School.

Emily graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management, with International Mention, from Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICADE, and a Bachelor´s Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Finance from North Carolina State University. She has 2+ years experience in the real estate sector.

Civil Engineer, graduated from “Universidad Católica Andrés Bello” (UCAB). He has Managed projects for large office buildings and distribution centers in Venezuela, he has 7 years of experience in the luxury residential sector in Madrid, carrying out the project management of multiple high-profile projects in the city

Francisco Luis Hernández

Projects & Technical Director

José has over 10 years of experience in real estate investment and asset management in Spain and the UK. His career spans the full asset lifecycle, enabling him to create value at every stage and drive growth strategies, portfolio optimization, and deliver long-term sustainable results.

José Maraver

Projects & Technical Director

Antonio has a 30+ years of experience as a technical architect, leading more than 100 transformation projects across Spain. He has experience in the private sector, as well as in the public sector, in regional administration positions, serving as a lead in urban planning development processes. His technical knowledge and vast expertize in change of use, urban planning regulation, and technical analysis have been key to our successful transformation projects.

Antonio Salamanca

Analyst

Francesco holds a Law degree and a Master’s in Real Estate Development. He has over 3 years of experience in the real estate sector, gained in both Italy and Spain. His background includes involvement in investment, development, valuation, and asset management processes in the residential and hospitality sectors.

Francesco Angelo Valvano

Analyst

Lucas holds a BA in Business from CUNEF and a Real Estate MBA from Real Estate Business School. With 4 years’ experience, he has been involved in numerous hotel asset sales worth €330M+, working in top international brokerage and advisory firms and startups.

Lucas Torrego

Junior Analyst

Alex has an Economics and Politics degree from the University of Bath where he delved into finance, portfolios, markets, and investment analysis. Currently pursuing the CFA Level I, he is looking forward to gain further experience in real estate.

Juan Felipe holds a degree in Business Administration from IE University, where he developed a strong foundation in finance and economics. He is keen to further develop his skills in real estate investment analysis as he builds his career in the sector.

Office Manager

Norma is a versatile professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Gabriel René Moreno University in Bolivia. After studying hospitality and tourism management in Spain, she served as general manager of Flamenco Tablao Cardamomo for ten years. Currently, she is the Executive Assistant to the CEO at our company, where she is recognized for her essential support to the team and her adaptability.

Norma Tsutsumi

Advisor

Marcelo has 20+ years of experience in Wall Street, leading Emerging Markets teams in Barclays Capital, Deutsche Bank, and Morgan Stanley. He is a CFA Charterholder, and an expert in Emerging Markets, Structured Credit, Middle Market Lending, Private Equity, Distress Debt, Derivatives, and Fixed Income Trading. He is the strategic lead on Persepolis hospitality, special situations and distress investments. He has a degree in Economics from the University of San Andrés in Argentina.

Marcelo Berenstein

Gonzalo is an Architect and holds a Bachelor’s Degreee in Fine Arts from UEM. He is a founding partner of the GOAN studio, based in Marbella with an international reach. His work has been published in specialized magazines, and his projects have received awards in important international competitions. Notable achievements include the first Solvia Prize for Innovation in Housing, the first Europan13 Prize for the city of Ingolstadt in Germany, and the Special Prize for Young Architectural Work in Málaga.

Gonzalo Gutiérrez

Patrick began his career as an electrician, advancing to become a contractor and entrepreneur. He founded a law firm specializing in commercial real estate and is licensed as an attorney in Massachusetts and a Solicitor in the UK. Patrick holds a Juris Doctorate from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science from Wentworth Institute of Technology. An inspiring leader, he balances his career with fatherhood and enjoys boating, shooting, spearfishing, and golf. He recently represented Bermuda in the Island Games.
